Fort Wayne Dance Collective, USF Jesters program receive National Endowment for the Arts grants

Two Fort Wayne arts organizations were among nine Indiana arts groups selected to receive a combined total of $205,000 in grants from the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA).

The local recipients are:

• Fort Wayne Dance Collective, $20,000 for an in-school dance education program.

• University of Saint Francis, $10,000 for The Jesters performing arts program for people with disabilities.

The grants were in the NEA’s first round of grants for fiscal year 2018, the Indiana Arts Commission said in a news release. The local grants are among more than $25 million the NEA awarded to arts and cultural nonprofit groups in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.
