Three Rivers Festival’s Children’s Fest will have a new site for this year’s TRF golden anniversary.

The festival is working with Fort Wayne Community Schools to bring the event closer to downtown. It will be held 10 a.m.-4 p.m. July 20 and 21 at North Side High School, 475 E. State Blvd. The event is filled with crafts, storytelling and games.

The move coincides with a drive to revamp the event as part of the 50th annual Three Rivers Festival, according to a news release. The move will make it more centrally located and closer to the festival’s events and attractions in and around Headwaters Park. Each year, more than 30,000 visitors attend the Children’s Fest, according to the release.

Jack Hammer, TRF executive director, said in the release, “This move is exciting as it will allow for the event to grow, be closer to parking and gain visibility.”
