Paige Davis of TLC’s ‘Trading Spaces’ and ‘The Voice’ runner-up Addison Agen will be celebrity guests at the SHE Expo in Fort Wayne
Paige Davis, the bubbly host of the TLC show “Trading Spaces,” and Fort Wayne’s Addison Agen, who finished runner-up last fall on “The Voice,” will be the celebrity guests for this year’s Fort Wayne Newspapers SHE Expo, which is sponsored by Windows, Doors & Moore.
The event, which is designed for women, will take place 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Oct. 27 at Memorial Coliseum, 4000 Parnell Ave.
Davis, who was the original host of “Trading Spaces” when it premiered in 2000 on TLC, returned to host the reboot of the show that launched this year on the cable TV network. The show staff now is preparing for the show’s second season, which will premiere early next year, it said on the Deadline Hollywood website.
“Trading Spaces” has two sets of neighbors redecorate a room in the other neighbor’s house, with help from an expert designer and carpenter.
Davis will appear on stage from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. and then will be available for photos and autographs with fans from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
Agen, who is preparing to release a new album of songs, used her powerful vocals and emotional delivery to capture the attention of celebrity coaches and voting fans on “The Voice,” the hit vocal talent-search show on NBC.
Since the show, the 17-year-old has been performing and working on her new album as she pursues her dream of a career in the music industry.
Agen will perform on stage from 3 to 4 p.m. and then will be available for photos and autographs with fans from 4 to 5 p.m.
This year for the first time, SHE Expo admission will be free.
“We want everyone in the community to be able to attend this exciting event,” Pete VanBaalen, Fort Wayne Newspapers’ general manager, said in a news release. “We will have over 100 retail vendors, food samples from local restaurants, registration for a chance to win a hot tub from Master Spas, along with opportunities to win cold, hard cash throughout the day.
“We will also be previewing a new local cookbook from Fort Wayne Magazine complete with recipes from some of our local restaurants,” VanBaalen said.
