Promoting LIfe-Affirming Prenatal and Infant Care (Unrestricted Funds): A Hope Center, $45,000 and Lutheran Social Services, $10,000. Frederick J. Pfeiffer Fund - in Honor of Charles F. And Henrietta Eckart Pfeiffer for Medical and Surgical Equipment: Fort Wayne Community Schools, $10,932 and Fort Wayne Sexual Assault Treatment Center, $580. Blessed Catherine Kasper Award for Outstanding Service to the Poor: Heart of the City Mission Foundation, $1,500 and Homebound Meals, $1,500.
Waynedale Lions Club
The Waynedale Lions Club has teamed with Waynedale Elementary, the PTA and other local organizations to buy a local child in need a pair of shoes with every adult dinner sold at an upcoming fundraiser. The fish dinner and desert bake sale will be 4-7 p.m. Feb. 11 at Waynedale Elementary, 720-1 Elzey St. Tickets are $10 adults pre sale and $12 at the door and $6.50 children.
