You must sell items that fall under its mission to provide fresh and unique produce, meats, baked goods and homemade crafts. The market, on the corners of East Wayne and Barr streets, will be open rain or shine 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturdays May 20-Sept. 9. Cost is $5 for the application fee and $340 for entire season. Per-date options are available with varying costs.

In case you missed the news

Big Eyed Fish plans a third location. The newest restaurant, possibly to be named Big Eyed Fish North, will be an express setup like the one at Hillegas Road. It will open around April in the former Dairy Queen at Leo Crossing. The menu will be something between the express and dining restaurant at 1502 N. Wells St.

Also, IPFW’s Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management this week is opening The Stag restaurant in the Holiday Inn Fort Wayne-IPFW. The student-run restaurant will serve British comfort food that has been described as "a British pub meets ‘Downton Abbey.’" Hours will be 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Thursdays. Walk-ins are welcome, but reservations are recommended by calling 267-0310.
