Freedom Riders will hold benefit ride Sunday for Shepherd's House

The Freedom Riders of Indiana will hold their fifth annual Shepherd's House Ride this Sunday, starting from Texas Roadhouse at 710 W. Washington Center Road.

Registration opens at 1 p.m. and is $15 per bike and driver, and $5 for an additional passenger. The ride begins at 3 p.m. Biker games and music by Gunslinger will follow the ride. There will be prizes ranging from $20 to $500.

The Freedom Riders will donate 100 percent of all revenue from outdoor food purchases to Shepherd's House, which provides long-term, residential and transitional housing for people age 18 and older who are trying to recover from addiction to alcohol or drugs.

The Freedom Riders are a nonprofit organization that tries to serve as goodwill ambassadors to the community and to U.S. military veterans, emergency personnel and their families. For more about the group, go to www.thefreedomriders.org.
