How far off track has society gone?
This is in response to the letter to the editor Feb. 16, titled, “Quality of life more important than the fact of life.” I must say to the writer, would you say to your baby, grandchild or even yourself that your personal judgment of “quality of life” is more important than life itself?
How far off track we as a society have gotten that we not only allow killing of the unborn children but have people even advise that it’s better to have “quality of life” than life itself.
Has the writer listened to the numerous undercover investigations at the numerous Planned Parenthood facilities? Some of the findings include (that although their name implies they are involved with helping families plan) they conduct ultrasounds to determine what type of abortion will be performed, not to help the baby or the mother. If you want to read more, go to liveaction.org.
The writer also says, “After Jesus was crucified for our sins, he told his followers, ‘I go to prepare a place for you.’ God loves all his children. He has something better for us at the end of our life here.”
I have read and re-read this statement and do not see how this justifies killing. God gave us life and blesses us with offspring to be fruitful and multiply, not to procreate and kill. Just because a baby wasn’t planned or is found to have a disability doesn’t justify him/her being killed. I pray the scales are removed from the eyes of the writer and those like the writer and they will see abortion for the killing that it is. <br>
