<center> Great American Cleanup </center><br>

Residents turned out on a cool and rainy Saturday to pitch in for Fort Wayne’s Great American Cleanup. More than 150,000 pounds of debris and trash, 1,050 tires, and 170 televisions were collected. Volunteers totaled more than 5,500 and 230 groups and organizations participated. <br>

<center> Mike’s Carwash donation </center><br>

Mike’s Carwash recently presented a check for $91,387.80 to eight local Big Brothers Big Sisters chapters as a result of its eighth annual Get a Wash, Give a Future fundraiser. The event was supported by all 19 of Mike’s Carwash locations. <br>

<center> Natatorium book drive success </center><br>

The Helen P. Brown Natatorium hosted a book drive earlier this year collecting 1,947 used books in good condition to give to FWCS students. The books were recently distributed to various schools. <br>

<center> Music program </center><br>

The Fort Wayne Children’s Choir and the Allen County Public Library have partnered to offer a music program for kids ages 0-2 and their caregivers. First Steps in Music, led by FWCC’s Whitley Community choir director Beck Walter will introduce babies and toddlers to activities that will help them become tuneful, artful and beat-ful. The program is free. Registration not required, however, space is limited and it is first come, first served. <center> Summer meal program slated </center><br>

Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne will provide free, nutrituous meals to children under 18 this summer at 11 approved sites at 12-1 p.m. June 5 through Aug. 12. The sites are: Astoria Apartments, 2754 E. Paulding Road; Baldwin Creek Apartments, 2020 Hobson Road; Black Bear Creek, 1604 Reed Road; Bridge of Grace, 5100 Gaywood Drive; Brookmill Boys and Girls Club, 2857 Millbrook Drive; Coliseum Apartments, 1035 Ridgewood Drive; McCormick Apartments, 3005 McCormick Place; Richfield Apartments, 4737 Heatherwind Drive; River Cove Apartments, 2430 River Cove Lane; and Villa Capri Apartments, 2015 Fox Point Trail.

The Fairfield Boys and Girls Club, 2609 Fairfield will serve breakfast at 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Monday-Friday and lunch at 12-1 p.m. Monday-Friday. <br>

<center> Volunteers needed </center><br>

The Three Rivers Festival is in need of volunteers to help with a variety of roles from bartending at nightly concerts to helping pace the parade. Volunteers receive free Three Rivers Festival gear, complimentary beverage tickets, discounted admission to concerts, and an invitation to the volunteer party with great prizes and giveaways.
