Rotary International president visits Summit City South club in Fort Wayne He also helped Huntington club celebrate its 100th anniversary Thursday

The Summit City South Rotary Club’s celebration of its first anniversary included an extra-special guest – Rotary International President John F. Germ.

Germ, who also spoke Thursday night at the Rotary Club of Huntington’s 100th anniversary gala, was guest speaker for the Summit City South club’s noon meeting Friday at The Summit on Rudisill Boulevard. Germ’s visit to the Summit City South club was coordinated by Floyd Lancia, a member of the Anthony Wayne Rotary and the regional Rotary Foundation coordinator, a news release said.

Summit City South President Michelle Chambers said the club has grown from 21 members when it formed to welcoming its 30th member Friday. Fort Wayne also is home to two other clubs – the Anthony Wayne Rotary Club and Rotary Club of Fort Wayne.
