Four arrested on drug charges after police search
Four people are facing drug charges after Fort Wayne Police served a search warrant Friday morning at a home in the 3600 block of Brentwood Avenue.
About 9 a.m., members of the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Vice and Narcotic’s Division and Emergency Services Team served the search warrant obtained as part of Vice and Narcotics detectives’ investigation into information that Daniel Tatum was dealing marijuana and cocaine at that residence, a police news release said.
Police found three adults inside the house along with about 8 pounds of marijuana, 2.5 grams of cocaine, 52 grams of THC wax, .9 grams Oxycodone, 9.5 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, and 1.4 grams of Suboxone, the news release said. Detectives also found and seized $1,775 in cash.
The adults in the house all were arrested on the following charges:
* Daniel I. Tatum, 39, dealing cocaine, dealing schedule I,II,III controlled substance, dealing marijuana and maintaining a common nuisance.
* Johnny H. Gonzalez, 21, dealing marijuana, possession of cocaine, and maintaining a common nuisance.
* Mario R. Perez, 21, frequenting a common nuisance.
* Amy Mendez, 56, who was located at a different location and brought in for questioning in this case, was arrested on charges of dealing cocaine, dealing marijuana, dealing in schedule I, II, III controlled substance, and maintaining a common nuisance.
