Early morning Amber Alert canceled for missing Auburn child

An Amber Alert issued early Wednesday morning has been canceled after the child and suspect were found outside Auburn, according to the Indiana State Police.

Two-year-old Kevin “Chub” Wayne Craig was considered abducted, but the Amber Alert in his name was canceled shortly after it was first issued at around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The Amber Alert came after Craig was thought to be in extreme danger, and police were searching for 28-year-old Dale Curtis Craig after the child was last seen at 3 a.m. Wednesday in Auburn. The suspect and child were found at 7:35 a.m.; the suspect is in custody and the child is safe, according to a Twitter post from ISP spokesman Sgt. Ron Galaviz.
