Body found in downtown Fort Wayne
Fort Wayne Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found early Friday by a downtown worker.
At 4:34 a.m. police were called to the 200 block of West Berry Street at Webster Street, according to police spokesman Officer Mark A. Bieker. Officers were told that someone had arrived to work and found the man unresponsive.
Officers found the man had multiple injuries, according to Bieker. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Detectives and crime scene technicians were called to the scene.
The identity of the victim as well as the cause and manner of his death are expected to be released by the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
This incident remains under investigation by police and the coroner’s office.
