The Three Rivers Festival will commemorate its 50th anniversary with a “Golden Celebration: 50 Years of Fun!” theme for the 2018 Lutheran Health Network Three Rivers Festival Parade, the festival office announced Friday.

The event, which will be held July 13-21 next year, is Fort Wayne’s biggest summer festival.

The goal of the parade theme will be to showcase the many fun things to do in Fort Wayne, the announcement said. Parade organizers also will put an emphasis on making the parade fun for all ages.

“For 50 years, we have had the honor of celebrating the best that our city has to offer,” Jack Hammer, executive director of the city’s biggest summer festival, said in the announcement. “We are inspired by our past and excited for what our future holds.”

The parade will take place at 10 a.m. July 14. Parade entry applications must be submitted by May 1 to the festival office, 102 Three Rivers North, Fort Wayne, IN 46802.
