Fort Wayne Salvation Army hurting for donations

The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle campaign is at 29 percent of its goal. Usually it’s at 50 percent at this point in the campaign, according to the nonprofit.

Salvation Army raises money with the help of bell ringers at its red kettles at Christmastime to fund its programs year round.

The goal this year is $255,000, according to a news release.

Donations are collected in red kettles around Fort Wayne. It also is accepting donations at donate.salvationarmyusa.org and in person at 2901 N. Clinton St.
