Two men’s deaths in separate shootings early Saturday morning have been ruled homicides by the Allen County coroner’s office.

Delonte Corvon Walker-Ross, 18, from Fort Wayne, has been identified as the man found suffering from gunshot wounds early Saturday morning inside a home in the 1500 block of Oxford Street.

Fort Wayne Police Department officers on patrol responded at 3:20 a.m. to the area after hearing shots fired and then were dispatched to a home. They found two men, both who had been shot.

The other man, whose identity has not been identified, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Walker-Ross was pronounced dead at the scene.

Walker-Ross died from a gunshot wound or wounds and his death is the 40th homicide in Allen County for 2017.

Minutes later at 3:55 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a second shooting in the 1400 block of Greene Street after witnesses reported hearing a gunshot and saw a male victim lying in the grass and bleeding, police previously said.

Officers arrived and saw the man had been shot. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.

The coroner’s office identified him as Deandre Anthony Voss, 32. He died of a gunshot wound or wounds and his death is the 41st homicide in Allen County for 2017.

Both deaths remain under investigation by police, the Allen County prosecutor’s office, and the coroner’s office.
