Fort Wayne Police release images of fake-bearded credit union robber

The Fort Wayne Police Department has released surveillance images of a man who they say Friday morning robbed the Fort Financial Credit Union inside Meijer at 5909 Illinois Road.

Images show the blue-eyed white male, who’s about 5-foot, 5 inches tall, and wearing a brown fake beard and dark blue coat with a camouflage-patterned knit cap, leaving the credit union after the robbery at around 10 a.m.

Detectives and the Bank Robbery Task Force are investigating the robbery in which the man walked up to a credit union teller, displayed a handgun and demanded cash, according to police.

The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash and was last seen leaving the area in a dark-colored sports utility vehicle.
