Two men face drug charges after Fort Wayne Police raid
A narcotics raid Thursday morning net heroin, crack cocaine, and felony charges against two men.
Gregory R. Huddleston, aka City, 37, of the 4500 block of Woodway Drive is charged with dealing cocaine or narcotic drug (heroin), Level 5 felony; possession of cocaine, a Level 6 felony; maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 felony; and possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor.
Demonta Huddleston, 26, who lives at the same home, is charged with maintaining a common nuisance, a Level 6 felony.
At 8:47 a.m., members of the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Vice & Narcotics Division, Gang and Violent Crimes Unit and the Emergency Services Team served a search warrant at the Huddlestons’ home, according to a news release. The department’s Gang and Violent Crimes Unit had received tips that drug dealing was occurring at the home and conducted surveillance at this location, according to Capt. Kevin Hunter.
While serving the search warrant, police found two other adults with the Huddlestons inside the home. The other two were each charged with visiting a common nuisance, a misdemeanor charge.
During the search, detectives found about 1 gram of heroin, drug paraphernalia consistent with dealing heroin, 0.10 gram of crack cocaine, and 30 grams of marijuana along with $3,600 in cash, according to Hunter.
The investigation is continuing.
