Vehicle fire put out on I-69 southbound near Auburn

A man is facing charges of leaving the scene of an accident after the DeKalb County Sherriff’s Department was dispatched to the scene of a vehicle fire on I-69 South at the 236-mile marker (County Road 11A) three miles south of the Auburn exit.

Deputies arrived on scene around 4:28 a.m., and determined that no one was in or around the vehicle and the Auburn Fire Department was able to put out the fire.

The registered owner, who reported no injuries, was contacted via phone.
