U.S. Marshals on Thursday found a suspect who was charged six months ago in a November 2016 Fort Wayne homicide.

Marquavious Jones, 28, of Fort Wayne, a suspect in the shooting death of Sha Rif, was found by the U.S. Marshals Service in Saginaw, Mich., according to Deputy Chief Garry Hamilton of the Fort Wayne Police Department Investigative Division. He was being held on a murder charge.

Jones, of the 900 block of McKinnie Avenue, was charged in July in Allen Superior Court with murder, plus a firearm enhancement.

Rif, 22, of Fort Wayne, was found by officers at 1:41 a.m. Nov. 30, 2016, inside an SUV at the Marathon gas station in the 4200 block of Lafayette Street. A witness told police that Jones bragged about shooting Rif and other witnesses reported seeing Jones leave with Rif, according to a probable cause affidavit filed in Allen Superior Court.
