A semi cab driver swerved to avoid hitting another vehicle Monday morning on Interstate 69 and ended up damaging 200 feet of guardrail and rolling over, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department.

John C. Blevins, 69, of Coldwater, Mich., was following too closely behind a 5-ton flatbed truck driven by a Warsaw man at 11:20 a.m. on southbound I-69 near the 334 mile marker near the exit to U.S. 6 (Waterloo/Kendallville), according to a news release. His semi cab blocked the left southbound lane for several hours while the vehicle was removed. Neither driver reported an injury.
