1994 - Fire fighters gather outside Omni Source, Taylor St, as smoke from a burning machine pours outside the building.
1995 - Homestead Hockey Coach,Brian Thornson tries to fire up his team with only a few minutes remaining on the clock in the third period. The pep talk didn't work and the team ended up loosing to Northrop 5-2. This meant they also lost the season Championship.
1996 - The Droegmyer's used to be a barn until the couple renovated it into a home for themselves and Ann's elderly father.
1996 - Beth Vachon,middle and Lawanda Morgan, work at stacking boxes of chips on pallets in the Seyferts warehouse. The company has gone to a new pallet system.
1997 - Fort Wayne police were called to 719 Union St. after an argument and fist fight resulted in one man dead. The body was found in front of the abandoned house across the street (background).
2000 - IPFW's Hector Soto (13) gets monster air as he goes for the kill against the visiting Mercyhurst Lakers Friday night. The Mastodons won in three straight sets.
2000 - North Side basketball's 6'9" Ross McGregor wouldn't mind joining up with and teeing off on professional wrestlers.

2002 - U.S. Rep. Mike Pence made a stop at the Fort Wayne International Airport during his campaign for election to the new 6th Congressional District, which includes part of Allen County. The Republican's 2nd District was eliminated through redistricting. He faces Democrat Melina Fox in the November election.
2002 - Coventry Lane barricades remain in turn lanes, testimonials to unpopular traffic planning at Village at Coventry, said Allen County Highway Director Mike Fitch.
