1956 - the 10 bells at First Presbyterian Church are viewed from the top down. The assemblage, cast by a Troy, N.Y., firm, was one of two in Fort Wayne. The other, a 12-bell set, was at Emmaus Lutheran Church.
1994 - As the bones were being unearthed, curious area residents gathered at the site to watch. In background in green raincoat on the right, is the owner of the land were the mastodon bones were found.

1996 - James Farlow, Professor of Geology and Paleontology, and Physics Department Chairman John Robinson ,both of IPFW, with a T-Rex model. The pair recently published a paper suggesting T-rex couldn't have run faster then 20-30 miles an hour.
1998 - Lois Smith, left, Mary Pepoy and Lois Smith get to work at the faux finsih workshop at Ream Steckbeck Paint Company. Class participants were given the opportunity to use rag rollers to create a painted texture.
1998 - Greg Burgett, owner of Plastic Solutions, demonstrates the strength of his product that he makes at his company in the Urban Enterprise Center,1830 Wayne Trace.
1998 - Firefighters scramble down the roof as a pillar of smoke jets out of a hole they just cut for ventilation during the fire that consumed the home at 4840 Goshen Rd.
1999 - Three-year-old William Singer's gravestone at Lindenwood Cemetery reads "DROWNED IN FLOOD MAR. 29, 1913 GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN." The boy drowned in Spy Run Creek during worst flood in Fort Wayne history.
1999 - Superior Enterprises employee Chris Geiger cuts metal brackets for use in the new C & A Tool plant in Churubusco.
2001 - Adrian Guenther, NBC33 Promotion Producer, places the announcement of Dick Florea's retirement on the station's sign on West State Blvd.
2003 - The Komets' goalie Tom Lawson had a tough night Sunday allowing the Adirondack IceHawks to slip the puck past him five times ending the teams eight game winning streak at home.
2005 - Project: What type of bread does mold start to grow the fastest of? Conclusion: The wheat bread molded the fastest. Project by Jeremiah Stevenson, 4th grade. Display at the Irwin Elementary School science fair.
2007 - North Side's DaMarlo Belcher, left, and Bishop Luers' Steve Williamson battle for a loose ball. The Knights thrilled a packed house at Luers on Friday with its 88-86 buzzer-beating win over North Side.
2007 - Cpt. Sean Doblin, right, of the 384th holds his daughter Samantha, 2, before deploying with his unit on Friday.
2008 - Homestead's Zach Johnson overcame two knee injuries to finish fifth in the 100 butterfly at the IHSAA state championships on February 23.
2012 - A construction worker pulls up copper sheeting to be used in a repair on the Allen County Court House Thursday. General Restoration Corp., is cleaning out clogged gutters on the building and doing minor repairs.
