2001 - Josette Rider is the new executive director of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana. One of her goals is to fulfill the wish of every child who wants to be matched with an adult mentor. Rider headed the Decatur Boys & Girls Club for eight years.

2003 - Snider's Erin Morris capped an outstanding high school career by winning her second state title in the 100-yard backstroke. She is the PrepSports 2002-03 Girls Swimmer of the Year, an honor that she earned in all four of her high school seasons.
