Fort4Fitness names Satin Lemon as new executive director
Satin Lemon of Fort Wayne has been named the new Fort4Fitness executive director.
Lemon, a lifelong resident of the Fort Wayne area, spent the last 16 years with First Federal Savings Bank. She most recently served as marketing director. She is active in a number of charities and is a past race director of the YMCA Sock Soaker, and has participated in past Fort4Fitness events.
“I ‘m honored to be named executive director of such an important and impactful organization, and I look forward to working with the many volunteers, sponsors and participants who have made Fort4Fitness the community treasure it has become,” Lemon said in a released statement.
She will succeed Carrie Reeb as Fort4Fitness executive director.
“Our first executive director helped get Fort4Fitness off the ground, our just-departed executive director – Carrie Reeb – got us flying high and smoothly, and now Satin will take Fort4Fitness to even greater heights in the years ahead,” Fort4Fitness founder and board chair Tim Kenesey said in a released statement. “Thanks to the support of our many sponsors and the work of both Carrie and race director/ops leader Zac Compton, and our dedicated staff and volunteers, 2018 is going to be another great year for our three events. And our new F4F Outreach initiative is going to enable hundreds of less fortunate members of our community to experience the benefits of training for and participating in community fitness events.”
Fort4Fitness, which includes running, walking and biking events to promote healthy lifestyles, features the Spring Cycle May 19, the Fall Festival Sept. 28-29 and the Fantasy of Lights Nov. 17-18. Since Fort4Fitness was founded in 2007, more than 100,000 people have participated.
