A man is hospitalized in critical condition and a woman in serious condition after an early-morning shooting Wednesday on South Anthony Boulevard.

At 2:18 a.m. police officers responded to Belmont Beverage, 2631 S. Anthony Blvd., because the security alarm indicated perimeter glass had been broken, according to police spokesman Jason Anthony. While en route, dispatch received several calls from residents who reported hearing gunshots being fired in the area of South Anthony, Oliver Street and Smith Street. Officers arrived at the Belmont Beverage and saw bullet holes in the business window. They also found several shell casings lying in the middle of South Anthony in front of the business.
