Gary Grant to serve as deputy chief in Allen County Sheriff’s Department
Allen County Sheriff David J. Gladieux has filled a key position in his administration with a 25-year veteran sergeant.
Gary Grant will now serve as deputy chief of administration. In his new role, Grant will oversee the daily operations of the Civil Division, Warrants and Fugitive Division, Bureau of Identification, Sex Offender Registry and Notification Division and other administrative personnel.
He started his career with the department in 1993 as a commissioned police officer. Grant has been a member of the SWAT Team and a K-9 handler, served in the jail as a commissioned officer, Communications Division as a dispatcher, detective with the Vice and Narcotics Division/Metro Squad, detective with Crime Suppression Unit, patrol officer in the Traffic Division and community resource officer for Huntertown. Grant was promoted from officer to corporal in the Patrol Division, corporal in the Criminal Investigations Division and sergeant in the Civil Division prior to his present position.
