Annual tax sale nets more than $429,000 for Allen County governments

Allen County’s annual sale of tax-delinquent properties was held Wednesday and resulted in the sale of 222 properties and recovery of $429,283.57 in taxes, which will now be distributed to local units of government including cities, schools, library, and so on. Bidders from cities all over the country were registered to participate, and properties that did not sell may be deeded to the county for possible sale later on.

A home at 1311 Henlock Drive on which $3,090 in taxes was owed received the highest bid at $153,000.
