Allen County property tax bills mailed this week

Allen County property tax bills will be mailed Friday, April 12, with the due date for the first installment Thursday, May 10. Both the spring and fall remittance coupons are included in the bill; there will be no fall mailing.

The bills have a new look this year, according to Treasurer William Royce. They are multi-colored to make finding information easier, and the back has been cleaned up and has important payment and other information. Taxpayers are encouraged to read their bills thoroughly to ensure proper payment. The treasurer’s website has also been revamped with “Quick Links” to help users find the most requested information quickly.

To avoid long lines, taxpayers are encouraged to pay early if paying in person. The treasurer’s office is open Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Paying in the treasurer’s office is not the only option, however. Several online payment methods can be found at, or taxpayers can pay by phone by calling 1-877-690-3729 and using jurisdiction code 7693. A complete list of payment options and instructions are located on the back of the tax bill.

If you do not receive a tax bill you can request one by calling the treasurer’s office or print one from the website. Unpaid bills or late payments will incur a penalty.
