Indiana 101 expected to close for bridge work Monday
The Indiana Department of Transportation has scheduled bridge maintenance for Indiana 101 over Hamm Ditch in Allen County, closing the highway on or after Monday, April 15, weather permitting.
The closure, which will allow contractors to complete a bridge deck overlay, is scheduled to take place between Campbell and Hurshtown roads. Access to homes and businesses will be maintained throughout the work. The official state detour for the closure will be Indiana 37 to Ohio 2 to Ohio 18 to Indiana 8. The road may be closed up to 90 days.
Work on the bridge is expected to continue through late July, weather permitting. The contract was awarded to Primco for $838,000 and includes bridge maintenance on Indiana 205. To view this project online, visit http://bit.ly/2GzPg9r
