I-69 bridge work to begin Monday

The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced a tentative timeline for construction on multiple on I-69 bridges in DeKalb and Allen counties beginning on or after Monday, April 15, weather permitting.

This spring, contractors will complete bridge deck overlays and other bridge rehabilitation on the following structures in DeKalb County:

Additionally, work will take place on the I-69 bridge(s) over Vandolah Road, near mile 319, in Allen County.

Drivers are cautioned to watch for lane closures in the construction zone, as well as a reduced speed limit. INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through any active work zone. Work on the projects is scheduled to be completed in late July, weather permitting. The contract was awarded to INDOT contractor R.L. McCoy for $1.2 million.
