One arrested on murder charge, another for attempted murder
One man has been arrested on a murder charge and a second on a charge of attempted murder, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department.
Antoine Kelley was arrested in Chattanooga, Tenn., Friday on an outstanding murder warrant issued by Fort Wayne Police for the shooting death of Darius McMorris at 5419 S. Harrison St. on April 1. Kelley was arrested by the Chattanooga Police Department and the U. S. Marshall Service without incident and is awaiting extradition back to Allen County.
And on Thursday, Fort Wayne homicide detectives assisted by the Gang and Violent Crimes Unit and Vice Narcotics Task Force officers located and arrested Timothy Coats. Coats has been booked into the Allen County Jail on a charge of attempted murder related to an ongoing FWPD shooting investigation.
