On the 10th anniversary of the Tea-Party movement, Allen County Tea Party Patriots will hold a “Stop Socialism/Choose Freedom” rally focusing on Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness on April 15.

Along with other groups across the nation, they will encourage fellow Americans to resist what they call “the failed, destructive, and dangerous ideology of socialism, and to respect the life of babies ‘born alive’ after a botched abortion.

“History shows that socialism has failed everywhere it has been implemented, because it rejects a fundamental ingredient of what makes capitalism successful – private property,” stated organizer Emery McClendon. “History also shows that capitalism is the economic system that has brought more people out of poverty than any other system. Our goal is to remind Americans that there is no political freedom without respect for life and economic freedom.”

The rally will begin at 6:30 p.m. April 15 at Allen County Right To Life, 2126 Inwood Drive.
