A group opposing a proposal to increase Indiana's gasoline tax will be offering tax-free gas Wednesday to publicize its cause.
Americans for Prosperity – Indiana, which advocates spending all gas tax revenues on roads and bridges rather than increasing the tax, will be offering a saving of 50 cents per gallon at Mac Food Mart, 4136 W. Washington Center Road, to the first 200 customers 10 a.m.-noon. The gas station sign will reflect the temporary lower prices.
AFP-IN State Director Justin Stevens will be at the event. Americans for Prosperity (AFP) says it supports the policies and goals of a free society at the local, state, and federal level. AFP lists more than 3.2 million activists across the nation and 35 state chapters.
