A man was sentenced Tuesday in Allen Superior Court for breaking and entering a dwelling last December

Aristotle O. Soil, of the 4400 block of Southpark Drive, was sentenced to serve one year of a two-year sentence, with one year to be served on probation, for breaking and entering a dwelling about 9 a.m. Dec. 31 at a home in the 4500 block of South Hanna Street.

The victim told police Soil reportedly had come to his house earlier that morning and previously while trying to find a man, the probable cause affidavit filed in the case said. The victim told him the man he was looking for wasn't there, and Soil left.

A short time later, Soil allegedly kicked in the victim's home's rear door, held a handgun to the victim's right temple and demanded to know the whereabouts of the man he was seeking, the affidavit said. After a short time, Soil reportedly grabbed the victim's cell phone from a coffee table and fled as police arrived.

Soil was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $200.
