A Woodburn man was charged Friday in Allen Superior Court with burglary, a Level 4 felony, and a misdemeanor count of criminal conversion after he allegedly entered the victim's home and took a cellphone, according to a probable-cause affidavit.

Dakota J. Reading, 20, of the 4300 block of Becker Road in Woodburn, allegedly was seen walking west in an alley adjacent to the house shortly after the burglary of a cellphone from the victim's home, the affidavit said.

Reading's cousin tracked the phone to a nearbly house where he was staying. She told police Reading allegedly admitted to her that he took the phone to make a phone call, the affidavit said.
