Claypool man killed in crash near Warsaw

Law enforcement officials in Kosciusko County are continuing their investigation after a man died in a traffic accident reported about 2:50 a.m. Friday south of Packerton Road and Kosciusko County Road 400S south of Warsaw.

Brent T. Riley, 27, of Claypool, was driving north on Packerton Road in a 2007 Chevrolet Impala when he apparently lost control of the vehicle for an unknown reason and went off the west side of the road into an embankment, the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department reported. The car reportedly rolled over several times and then hit a tree.

Riley was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, the sheriff's department reported.

Kosciusko County Fatal Team investigators were assisted at the scene by members of the Washington Township Fire Department, Warsaw Fire Department, Lutheran E.M.S., Warsaw Police Department, Winona Lake Police Department, Kosciusko County Coroner's office and Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
