A Fort Wayne man is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 30 to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty Wednesday in Allen Superior Court in three robbery cases that included beating a man in the head with a pistol and threatening five local female college students.

Mang Z. Suan, 20, of the 4000 block of Hessen Cassel Road, pleaded guilty to seven counts of robbery and two counts of burglary. He is scheduled to be sentenced to a total of 54 years, with 14 years suspended and three years served on probation after release from prison.

In return for pleading guilty, the Allen County Prosecutor's office agreed at the sentencing hearing to dismiss two additional counts of robbery, two counts of fraud and one count of battery.

The charges result from the following incidents:

* A Sept. 19, 2016, alleged robbery of five female University of Saint Francis students at a local residence. Money, cell phones and a laptop computer reportedly were taken.

* The Sept. 25, 2016, alleged burglary and robbery of a man who opened his residence's door in the early-morning hours because he thought it was his girlfriend coming home. He reportedly was hit in the head with a handgun and his wallet, Xbox One game system, two video game controllers and two items of jewelry reportedly were taken.

* A Sept. 25, 2016, alleged burglary and robbery of a man and his friends at his garage and house. Money, cell phones, a laptop and headphones reportedly were taken.

Saun allegedly committed the robberies with Reginald L. Bowers of the 6800 block of Richfield Court, who was sentenced Sept. 8 to 20 years in prison for his alleged involvement in the robberies. He had pleaded guilty in August.
