Sentencing is set for Sept. 18 for Eduardo Guzman, of the 3000 block of Alexander Street, who pleaded guilty Friday in Allen Superior Court to one count of child molesting as part of a plea agreement.

Guzman was charged Dec. 19 with two counts of child molesting for allegedly molesting a boy and girl, both younger than age 14, between Jan. 1, 2010, and Dec. 31, 2011, a probable cause affidavit filed in the case said. The children later identified Guzman as the man who allegedly molested them, the affidavit said.

Under the terms of the plea agreement, the judge can sentence Guzman to the punishment he or she feels is warranted, but any time actually served in prison cannot exceed four years. Guzman also will be ordered to have no future contact with the victims. In addition, the Allen County Prosecutor's office will dismiss the second child molesting charge at his sentencing hearing.
