A domestic dispute complaint and a two-week investigation resulted in Kosciusko County law officials arresting three people for allegedly stealing items and using them to get drugs, authorities said Monday.

On Aug. 29, the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department responded to a report of a domestic dispute on East Bucher Drive involving Amy Farmer, 35, a sheriff's department news release said. After arriving, sheriff's officers arrested Farmer for resisting, criminal mischief and arson.

Sheriff's officers also could see in plain sight a burned cargo trailer that had been reported stolen, the news release said. Officers obtained a search warrant for the property and found other items that had been reported stolen.

On Sept. 5, sheriff's officers arrested Scott Farmer, 39, on outstanding warrants, the news release said. When interviewed by Kosciusko County sheriff's detectives, he allegedly admitted to stealing the burned cargo trailer and trading the tools that were inside it for drugs. Scott Farmer reportedly also admitted to stealing three other trailers.

Detectives then went to a residence on South Main Street in Milford where Scott Farmer said some of the stolen items would be located, the news release said. Police obtained a search warrant for this property and allegedly found stolen items, drug paraphernalia, a small meth lab and some firearms. Kosciusko County Sheriff's detectives were assisted on the search by the Milford Police Department, Kosciusko County Drug Task Force and Indiana State Police Lab Team.

The investigation also led Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department officers to the residence of Allan Foyle, 45, on D6 Lane in Syracuse. After obtaining a search warrant for Foyle's home, officers allegedly found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and stolen property. Foyle was arrested for dealing methamphetamine and possession of stolen property.
