The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department and the Milford Police Department have arrested a man for allegedly vandalizing and robbing five laundromat and car wash coin machines last month, according to a police report.

Mychal D. Loper, 27, of Warsaw, was charged with theft and criminal mischief for allegedly vandalizing and robbing the coin machines after police responded to a call May 30 at Hometown Laundry, Milford, in which a male subject was seen on surveillance footage breaking into numerous machines and stealing.

Police discovered Loper was incarcerated in the Kosciusko County Jail on an unrelated warrant. Loper told police of his involvement in the Milford theft as well as four other thefts in the Warsaw area. Loper also told police he allegedly took a pair of bolt cutters from the Nappanee Ace Hardware store.
