Man sentenced in welfare fraud case

A Fort Wayne man was sentenced to 2 1/2 years on probation after he pleaded guilty to welfare fraud Aug. 30 in Allen Superior Court. Flores admitted he was working and receiving wages while claiming unemployment insurance benefits.

Flores also was ordered to pay $25,713 in restitution to Indiana Workforce Development for benefits he was collecting fraudulently from 2012 to 2014.
