The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash Tuesday on U.S. 224 east of Ohio 49 in Van Wert County, according to a police report.

At about 3:11 p.m. Tuesday a 2015 International driven by a 21-year-old Toledo man was entering U.S. 224 from a private drive and failed to yield the right of way to an eastbound 1994 Peterbilt, driven by 70-year-old Gerald Lake of Hamilton, Ohio. Lake's vehicle sideswiped the the other vehicle, causing him to drive off the right side of the road, enter the ditch, overturn and land on its top. The other vehicle stopped in the middle of the road. No one reported injuries.

U.S. 224 was closed for seven hours for recovery and clean-up. The crash remains under investigation.
