Waynedale Picnic will be Aug. 26

The Waynedale Community Picnic will be Saturday, Aug. 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Waynedale Park, 2900 Koons and Elzey Street near Lower Huntington Road. The free event draws more than 2,000 visitors annually and is made possible by more than 100 local businesses and organizations.

Free lunch and snacks will be available, along with bingo, games, inflatable obstacle course, appearances from local police, EMT and fire departments, a science exploration tent, face painting, vendors and more. The picnic is celebrating its 15th year. Visitors should stop at the registration table to receive meal tickets and information about the day’s events.
