LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Sign wasn’t hate, rather expression of concern

I write in response to the editorial on July 14 about the Auburn church that has the sign out front which reads: “LGBTQ IS A HATE CRIME AGAINST GOD, REPENT”

This sign is an expression of love and concern for the eternal souls of those caught in the sinful and destructive LGBTQ activities.

The God of the Bible whom we will all stand before and give an account destroyed the ancient cities of Sodom and Gomorrah for one reason, homosexual behavior. Please don’t take my word for this, read the truth for yourselves in Genesis 19.

The absolute truth of scripture clearly states that homosexual offenders will not inherit the Kingdom of God in 1 Corinthians 6:9.

This and other scriptural truths used to be thundered from nearly every pulpit in the land, but in recent decades the silence in our pulpits concerning God’s moral truth has been deafening.

This silence has led many to confuse fundamental moral truth with hate.

God only knows how many people have been saved from eternity in a devil’s hell because of that sign in front of that church in Auburn!
