Great news:. We can finally get our alleys fixed.

We haven’t even been able to get the street sweepers to go down the alleys since Win Moses was seeking re-election. (He did get re-elected). It will only cost the homeowners between $1,500 and $2,000 to do so. But, great news, it can be paid over a period of 10 years at 3 percent interest. You only have to get all the home owners to agree to this wonderful program on both sides of the alley. This should be a breeze with many rentals, out-of-town landlords and owners near or under the poverty level. The homeowners will be required to pay 75 percent of the cost, and the city will pay a measly 25 percent. In the southeast part of the city, homes are valued at approximately $20,000-$30,000. This is a great way for the city to pass on their responsibility to the homeowners. Now, they can spend more money on their pet projects and blame the citizens for the deplorable condition of our alleys. Thanks a lot city
