The Rant is The News-Sentinel’s anonymous sound-off forum. The readers’ views expressed here do not necessarily reflect the views or opinions of The News-Sentinel. Both presidential campaigns keep taking about making hay out of the other's troubles. I was always told that hay is the first part of horse.

(Donald) Trump says he figures things out. Yet it took five years after (President) Obama released his birth certificate for Trump to figure out that Obama was born in the U.S.

(Donald) Trump is empowering women alright. He's empowering them to say not just "No!," but "Hell no!" to Trump and men like him who sexually harass, assault or rape women. Women will make their voices heard on Nov. 8.

Now the election is about sexual misconduct instead of jobs, the economy and how we fix what ails us. So sad that our country has come to this.

I would love to take my sidearm with me when I golf at Foster Park. Then when some idiot tees off while I am still in distance, we can have a conversation. And if he has his sidearm with him, we will see who can shoot the straightest. And I'm not talking about a golf shot.

Do vegetable markets need a license or permit to have it on their personal property? Can they also sell other things? The one on Hillegas Road has no parking places and is on such a busy street. It's at a bad spot, especially during the heavy traffic hours. Other markets are at public places with plenty of parking areas and not in busy areas.

Either way we might get a groper in the White House. But with Hillary (Clinton) we also get: ... more lies, more secrets and more Bill!

I'm not usually a union supporter, but I do recognize that they provide skilled workers to our national workforce — generally good, educated, skilled workers that benefit society. They are not the only source, but they are a valuable one.

Free college for all. Something we don't need, and can't afford. Since we've had to "dumb down" our schools' grading systems to promote success, we should be aware that not all people are what used to be called "college material." We need laborers in the work force, people who are skilled in the manual trades and are willing to work. Not financial manipulators who do nothing worthwhile.

Now that the liberal press has dug up an old (Donald) Trump recording, perhaps they should roll out the Bill Clinton tapes as well. Oops, that would infer that they are real news organizations and not just editorializing.

The United States has quite acceptable immigration laws already in place. We don't need to "modernize" them. In the past, immigrants came to America to become "Americans" and be accepted into American society. Now ... (some) come to bring their culture and beliefs to change America.

Isn't it interesting how Hillary (Clinton) demonizes (Donald) Trump for his sexual indiscretions after having ignored her husband's! Trump's were were while he was a "Celebrity"; Bill's even included his time as president. Once again, Hillary's hypocrisy shows through.

(Donald) Trump says that he couldn't have assaulted certain women because they are not attractive enough. OK, so you only assault the pretty ones. You still assaulted them, and you should be in jail. Lock him up! Lock him up!

The Legacy money caters to Mayor (Tom) Henry's "Wants List," not to what is in the best interest of Fort Wayne as a whole. There is more to our city then just The Landing, which at night is full of drunks! What is the mayor doing for the homeless people, our vets, our children and our elderly. Not enough parking downtown at all and never enough handicap parking!

Did you ever try to figure how other people figure? I mean like the Democrats and their media are permissive in proclaiming Bill's (Clinton's) past as passe. Yet they find Donald's (Trump's) failings foul, flagrant and unforgivable — even decades old (took a lot of digging to find this one.)

How long is (Indiana Gov. Mike) Pence going to be (Donald) Trump's doormat and get thrown under the bus on a daily basis before he packs up and quits?

Of course (U.S. Rep. Todd) Young supports (Donald) Trump. They are cut from the same cloth. Trump says he is a great businessman. Lie. Young says he was a fighting Marine. Bigger lie. Two peas in the same rotten pod.

If Republican voter had any brains, we could be having debates with (Ohio Gov. John) Kasich and (Hillary) Clinton. We could be talking about policy and how to move our country forward. Instead, we have issues of sexual assault by one candidate and issues about the same from the other candidate's husband. Way to go America. You have now made our presidential election something from the cover of the National Enquirer.

The retail liquor store lobbyists ... don't want Sunday sales. The only state in the nation that does not have Sunday alcohol sales. Thank God we are not talking about flush toilets.

I find it increasingly interesting that so many (Donald) Trump supporters are angry because the media reports on the things he says or tweets or the accusations he makes. So instead of looking at his content, they try to vilify the media. I guess what they want is censorship.

(Donald) Trump's campaign COO says Trump did not do any of the things he is accused of. How does this man know this? Was he there? No. They are following the playbook of, deny, deny, deny. And in all of history, it has been proven that when you go that road, you are ultimately found to be guilty of the accusations. Trump (allegedly) groped women, and no amount of denying it will change the truth.

"Blessed the nation whose God is the Lord, The people he has chosen for his own inheritance. From heaven, the Lord looks down; he sees all mankind." Psalm 33. "If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, Lord who could stand? But there is forgiveness with you, that you may be feared." Psalm 130

If Mrs. (Michelle) Obama, her husband, and Mrs. (Hillary) Clinton, along with the news media, think this presidential campaign is so in the gutter, why over the last eight years and more have they not cleaned up the television, music and movie industry. That is what is influencing our children. Such hypocrites.

How do I find out how many accident police officers are in each year and how much insurance the city pays for those bad drivers? Anyone else would have their licences suspended for that many wrecks. Get these people off of the force and off of the roads.

It's interesting that the people who support (Donald) Trump because they say that wages are low, are the same people who are anti-union and want to destroy the remaining unions. If you don't have a skill, then you have nothing to offer an employer and you only have yourself to blame. If they have the time that they spend complaining to better themselves, then they could have a better life.

How can the self-proclaimed "moral majority" throw their support behind a tax-dodging misogynist like Donald Trump?

Where do old washed up reporters go to die? FOX News.

Donald Trump has been exposed as a man who sees no problem with touching women in an inappropriate manner. Who is the next Republican hero, Bill Cosby?

The far right-wing media, a.k.a. FOX News, is ranting about the mainstream media, which is defined as the ideas, attitudes or activities that are regarded as normal or conventional. I would rather have my news from the mainstream than the right-wing, which is totally biased in their reporting. FOX is losing the election, and they just can't take it.

Have you seen the GOP "rats" leaving the sinking ship? Can you spell: L-O-Y-A-L-T-Y?
