Thanks to the fine city police officers who come when you need them and are always professional-acting and polite. I want to thank the kind lady again who came running out of the Kroger store on Bluffton Road with my wallet that I left at the cash register on July 5. You are my guardian angel! I will never forget you.

I'd like to tip my hat to Mr. Jack Hammer. He saved the Three Rivers Festival and has done a great job for years. Thank you Jack, and God bless you.

Shouting kudos for some Fort Wayne residents. While shopping at Meijer on Getz Road recently, as I was trying to pay my bill, my bank card would not work. Our account was frozen due to a death. I was crying. A gentleman from the next lane handed the cashier a card requesting she put it on his card to pay for it. Upon asking his name to repay him, his reply was, "Don't worry, God has a plan." He certainly does. Thank you for your kind and generous gift. God is good.

On the same weekend, my friend lost his wallet at Baer Field (Motorsports Park) races. Upon returning Saturday and inquiring about it, no one had turned it in. He returned to the seating area looking for it. A young boy was watching him. The boy asked what he was doing. He replied, "Looking for my wallet." The young boy handed it to him saying, "I think this belongs to you." Asking the boy why he returned it, since he could have kept it, the boy replied, "It was the right thing to do." He would not accept a reward for his honesty in returning it and went scampering off to play. We are grateful for his honesty and kindness. Thank you parents for raising an honest child. God is good all the time. All we need to do is ask and have faith in him.
