University of Saint Francis running back Justin Green and linebacker Eric Dunten have earned player of the week honors.

Green was named the Mid-States Football Association Mideast League Player of the Week for offense and Dunten was awarded the honor for defense.

Green rushed for 159 yards, compiled 259 all-purpose yards and scored four touchdowns (three rushing, one kick return) in No. 1 Saint Francis’ 40-20 win over Taylor on Saturday. He now holds the Saint Francis single-season record with 22 touchdowns. He is tied for the NAIA lead with 144 points scored this season. This is his third player of the week honor.

Dunten finished the Taylor game with six solo tackles, seven assists and half-a-tackle for loss. This is Dunten’s second player of the week honor.

Saint Francis has had a player honored for six straight weeks, the longest stretch in program history. The Cougars (10-0) have an open date this Saturday. The NAIA playoff pairings will be announced Sunday, with the first game Nov. 18.
