Huntington North’s Madalyn Robrock is the Fan Vote Player of the Week

On a deep Huntington North team, Madalyn Robrock emerged last week with two big games and was voted by the readers of news-sentinel.com as the the Fan Vote Player of the Week for week 2 of the season. Robrock scored 15 points and hauled in 11 rebounds last Tuesday in a big win at Snider. Robrock helped hold off a late Panther charge for the win. Even though the Vikings then fell to Warsaw on Friday, Robrock scored a game high 22 points and added nine rebounds.

With 39.01 percent of the vote, Robrock held off Norwell’s Logan Rowles, who had 21.88 percent of the vote after scoring 25 points, with nine rebounds and eight steals Friday in a win over South Adams.

Other nominees included Concordia Lutheran’s Carissa Garcia, Whitko’s Ellie Snep and Central Noble’s Sydney Freeman.

Robrock, Rowles, Garcia and Freeman were also all nominees for the IBCA Player of the Week, which honors players across the state.

The Player of the Week Fan Vote opens every Sunday morning and runs through 11:59 on Monday night with the winner being announced each Tuesday.
