Teams to meet Saturday at Bishop D’Arcy Stadium

Soccer heavyweights Indiana and Notre Dame are back for more.

The two national powers are set to meet in Fort Wayne for the eighth straight year as part of the Shindigz National Soccer Festival’s Spring Classic.

The rivalry will be renewed Saturday at 7 p.m. at Saint Francis’s Bishop D’Arcy Stadium.

The game won’t count in the regular season record book, but it certainly does in the pride category. The teams last met last October at Notre Dame, with the Irish winning 4-0.

IU has won eight national titles. Notre Dame won the 2013 championship.

Both teams figure to be among the nation’s best next season.
